Quite frankly this doesn't smell that great. The generic name doesn't help but I haven't seen them listed for sale anywhere else and big alcohol retailers can afford to source their own exclusive products so I'm pretty sure this is the origin of this outing. I can't find any information about these. The Standard Margarita: I'm pretty confident this is a BevMo! Exclusive outing. Sure it doesn't taste like a fresh margarita made by an experienced bartender but this is something I'd love to have at the beach. At just 5.9% ABV it will get me quickly buzzed but I can rest easy knowing it won't mess me up. This can easily appeal to a great number of people, it goes down smoothly and I'd be lying if I said it wouldn't be a guilty pleasure of mine. It's clear they put a lot of sugar into this drink but it doesn't quite make it cloying. They added a bit of sparkling water to this cocktail as well which is actually a great call to help dilute what could easily have been a sugar overload. The orange liqueur actually does it's job quite nicely complementing the sour notes of the lime concentrate and providing a good balance. It doesn't taste fresh and it's clearly from concentrate yet it has a nice balance and tartness to it without feeling too cheap. You have to really focus to find the agave smell but it is indeed there though sadly it's more of the processed, distiller agave smell than the natural aroma. It smells strongly of festive but fake lime with a strong, orange syrup overtone. It leans heavily into the sugar and strong, artificial fruity flavors while keeping the Tequila profile in the background.
